International Cigars
Cigars actually were first made in Spain, but hardly anyone thinks of Spain these days when they think of a quality cigar. The first nation that comes to one’s mind when thinking or talking of cigars is of course Cuba. This is due to the fact that Cubans make the best cigars in the whole world, thanks to their climate which helps in producing the best variety of tobacco leaves rich in aroma and flavor. There are other international countries also which are capable of and does produce quality cigars, like Honduras, Mexico, Brazil and the West Indian islands to name a few.
Cuban cigars may be the best cigars in the world but each country makes cigars that are unique in their appearance, blend and flavor because of the varying weather conditions under which the tobacco leaves must grow. Apart from the weather, there is the question of soil as well, because different soil-conditions will yield different flavors in the tobacco leaves. Finally, comes the role of the makers who actually blend in the three layers of the tobacco leaves together to make the cigars. Their role is actually very significant as well because depending on their techniques and skills, the actual quality of the cigar is determined.
As mentioned earlier, Cuban cigars are the best in the world due to the rich, creamy and fine flavor that they provide the smokers with. These are made with the best of care and each Cuban single is as smooth and as good as it gets for cigars. Nicaragua and Honduras are famous for making rich cigars also, but their cigars are less creamy and stronger in nature, compared to the Cuban cigars. Cuban and Central American countries produce cigars that are strong and rich in their flavors but if you are looking for something mild to suit your taste, then try out some other international cigars like Jamaican cigars.
If you are relatively new to the world of international cigars then you should know a few facts to determine which cigar would more suit your need for the moment. If you are in mood for a light or mild cigar and can not find out whether or not they are from the West Indies, then there is a easier way to determine the type. The build of a cigar can tell you a lot more than what it may seem apparently; in this case just choose a long narrow cigar. Longer narrower cigars are mild to smoke compared to the ones that are thick in diameter. The thicker, shorter cigars are the favorites of old cigar aficionados as they are the strongest of the lot and have a rich and strong tobacco odor as well.
